Hotline On Call:

On June 27, Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla., endorsed Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos' U.S. Senate candidacy -- an undisputed boost for the Republican's campaign. Since that day, however, Haridopolos hasn't had all that much to write home about.

Haridopolos is the perfect GOP/Tea Party candidate for the Senate from Florida. One of his most recent deficit cutting merit badges was to screw a man disabled by a car crash caused by a police officer that left him crippled and brain damaged. The settlement he earned in court and should have paid by the 60 day Mayberry RFD legislature. This aspiring Senator managed to delay passage of the legislation to authorize the payment until the 60 day wonders session ended. The family who is buried in care costs and won in court will just have try their luck next year when the Florida legislators meet again for two months. This is the real face of GOP/Tea Party politics in action.

The righties won't admit it, but they have alienated so many hard working Americans, that they don't stand a chance. One by one the elections are going to democrats. NY26, Wisconsin recall faux democrats, and the Congressional seat in California. When all you do is raise fears and hatred and root for those with money to have more money in the midst of our economic recovery, what can they expect. Then won't even compromise and Americans can smell another republican recession right around the corner. Bankers and Wall Street crooks are despised. Bachmann and her ilk are nutjobs and a moderate does not stand a chance of American republican moderates. The righties in Congress are leaderless and it shows.

No state has more buyer's remorse than does Florida.  The GOP lost a Mayor's race recently in a city that has been red for decades.

Tis true, tis true, xintcat. But, the voters in Ohio and Wisconsin are waiting with baited breath, for the next election. Hammers and tongs out.

Florida is a MESS because of the 2010 elections. Our governor is an absolute whackjob and the entire legislature is owned totally by the corpropigs and the Bush Crime Syndicate. We should all band together and SHUT DOWN the GOP Convention in Tampa next year.
