This sounds a lot like the R.D.Coste book "A Night at the Gates". That's also about an atheist who goes to heaven. Pretty funny too. Could that guy and Gervais be one in the same?

You mean even when atheists write TV shows about atheists, religion still wins. Did you really have to have the atheist go to heaven? You couldn't find any way to spin this where there was no heaven and have the show still be funny?

I'll trust Gervais on this one. His comedy instincts are great, and I'm sure he's not going to do the religionists any favors.

He already did that. It's called not having a show, and reviews were mixed.

Grrrrr deceptive headline had me thinking for a second Ricky was joining the cast of Dexter. My heart beat faster for a second or two ...

Agreed. He takes no guff from exec's and creates and produces on his own terms. He'll never wipe his chin and walk away. He's someone my generation would do well to look up to.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

I'm developing an intense dislike for that man, but I can't quite put my finger on why. The phrase 'strutting egoist' comes to mind.

If someone asks if you're a God, you, say, YES!

Sounds funny. The Invention of Lying is a pretty under appreciated flick
