Eric Dane Checks Into Rehab: Grey's Anatomy Star Battling Addiction (VIDEO)

Eric Dane has checked himself into rehab, reports People. The "Grey's Anatomy" star has entered a rehab facility in Los Angeles to battle an addiction to painkillers.

The 38-year-old actor's rep has confirmed the news, stating: "Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus. He reports back to work next week. Business as usual."

Last week it was confirmed that Dane and his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, are expecting their second child. The couple have one child, daughter Billie, who is 16 months old.

All they need to do is slap paracetamol into these painkillers. If you take too many, you die. You don't build up a tolerance. It just knacks your liver. That might be something of a deterrant.

I would like to know why the doctors keep prescribing the painkillers.............don't they realize that after numerous perscription renewasl their patient has more than aches and pains . And how weak are these patients...........give me a break....they like the buzz......the pain in bs

My mother has been going to her practitioner once a month, for 10 years, to refill her prescription of sixty 10mg Percocets. These doctors don't care at all about how damaging their self-serving actions are to individuals and their families. I've watched my mother slowly kill herself on these pills for the last decade and I keep asking everyone to tell me exactly how a doctor, these days, is ANY better than a drug deal on the street corner? They look exactly the same to me.
