Nancy Pelosi's Midyear Style Report (PHOTOS, POLL)

Few people in politics love pantsuits as much as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi might be a close second.

Bold jewel tones in pinstripes or tweeds top Pelosi's hit list, accessorized with strands of gumball-sized beads or a vibrant, printed scarf. At last month's State Dinner with Germany, she wore vintage Thierry Mugler, which, to be honest, is something so fabulous and so unexpected that we still can't quite wrap our minds around it. Other than that sartorial shocker, and another magenta evening gown, Pelosi's style has remained very much the same: perfectly pulled-together.

With Pelosi I think she reads a few of the fashion mags, finds out which costs the most, and away she goes. Last year, when a reporter asked her about her net worth, she said it was " some where between 15 million and 50 million. There is a large difference there.
I wear suits from time to time and like Van Morrison we use the same tailor as the king of Brunei. The fabric is more or as important as the cut and style.
More importantly, are they going to stop the tax write-off for suits? I know several D.C. lawyers who write off their Brooks Brothers every year. Style? John McCain with all his wife's money should learn to dress. And that is all I have to say on this topic.

Looks like your fashion sense is colored by your political bias. Anyone would say that these outfits are great. Mrs. Obama has a distinctive and elegant sense of style as well. I can readily say that Nancy Reagan was a fashion plate even if I abhorred what her husband was doing to the country.
