Michelle Obama was on-the-go on Thursday.

FLOTUS first stopped by the set of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where Michelle and friends are building a house for homeless female veterans. The episode is set to air this fall.

For her reality T.V. debut, Michelle picked a purple blouse, gray capris and sneakers. She also wore a blue-and-green printed dress by Chris Benz with a bejeweled belt.

In the afternoon, our leading lady toured the Joining Forces program at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach. She changed into a Merona for Target frock that we originally noticed in 2009. Thrifty!

Take a look at Michelle Obama's busy Thursday.

I love her diversity of style. Yet, more importantly, I love her grace and joy and her clear love for the American people.

Like the way she wears what she wants. Not what some think or tell her what to wear. She always looks classy

The take-away from this should be about more than just the fashion, it should be the awareness of homeless female veterans. Thank goodness Mrs. Obama is using her influence to bring this issue to light. No one who sacrifices their life to ensure our freedoms should be homeless. Gay, straight, black, white, female, male...they are our heroes and it is time to ensure they have the basics that we all take for granted. (And since this is the Style page - well done with the dress, Mrs. Obama. Perfect!)

The blue and green floral dress is from Target?  Well you could have fooled me, she looks amazing in it, stop being label wh0#%$!  It's the perfect dress for the day.

She looks beautiful in both dresses so who cares, the nay-sayers are the jealous ones, our First Lady always pulls if off, impeccably 99% of the time.

Homeless female veterans. That in itself is shameful. I'm glad our wonderful First Lady is throwing her weight behind the issue, raising awareness. She really is doing such an amazing job,she fills me with pride. How inspiring she must be for young girls of all races, but particularly young black girls. Nice they can get some inspiration from a source other than the entertainment industry.

She is cool, likeable, natural, warmhearted. A lot of people in America don't recognize their fortune to have her as First Lady. I really love her.

Compared to whom? How old are you?? And how many First Ladies do you remember? I don't know any who dressed from Target nor in grunge. What an embarrassment. With all those employees on her payroll, you'd think at least one could help with her clothing.

Don't be jealous of the style, chrarisma, beauty and grace of our FLOTUS.

Well, she's better dressed than Laura and Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton combined. So whoever in the White House is not helping her is doing the right thing.

some people think it's fun to anonymously attack the First Lady, they aren't going to get away with it here.  Michelle Obama rocks!
