Animal Photos Of The Week

Many animals joined their human counterparts in finding ways to beat the heat this week. From rhinos and lions to polar bears and black-footed penguins, it was a fight to escape the high temperatures.

Despite the heat, adorable images were captured of a baby Pygmy hippopotamus, a Caribbean Flamingo chick, and two baby snow leopards in Poland.

A wide-eyed baby slender loris visiting the vet, and a cat hugging a bearded dragon, might have been the adorable animal moments of the week.

I love animals so much, it just breaks my heart to think of what humans have done to their natural habitat. They fight so hard to survive all that humankind throws at them.

Baby animals are AWESOME!! Everyday on Every newspaper's front page and last page should be a picture of a baby animal - then all the bad news of the world. At least we would start off happy - read the bad stuff and then end with something happy....

I don't find anything cute about hippos. They are extremely mean and dangerous animals. In fact they are the number 1 killer of people in Africa. They kill more people than any of the big cats or wild animals.

They are mean and dangerous when you are in their territory. They also run faster than humans. That doesn't mean their babies aren't cute.

Well so are tigers and no one could argue THEY aren't cute. Plus, cute is in the eye of the beholder. I find the baby hippos adorable.
