NFL Lockout 2011 Twitter Reactions: Players Express Their Excitement (TWEETS)

The NFL lockout is officially over! In response, many players took to the Twittersphere to express their excitement.

According to sources, under the tentative schedule put in place, training camp will begin for 10 of the 32 NFL franchises on Wednesday, meaning that many players will have to get right back to work.

It means that I have to pretend to care if one juiced up group of behemoths has successfully bested another for 4 months, as the days get shorter and the weather colder because it is all anyone wants to talk about....and really, despite the protestations of the fans about how intricate the blocking and defensive schemes and whatnot are, all any fan is really doing is feeding their internal drooling mouth breather who likes to watch other humans smash and break.

On top of that, there is the homoerotic undercurrent to football. Now, I couldn't care less about what people do in the comfort of their own homes, but the idea that rabidly homophobic types watch muscular men grope each other for 8 hrs a week for 16 wks (at least), and that I can't call them on it if I want to still be talking to them after the season, is just painful...
