Looking through pictures of Shala Monroque, former Editor-at-Large at Pop magazine, we were struck by her tough-to-classify style. It's a melange of classic, current, edgy, feminine and artful...that's left us with a serious case of closet envy.
Born in St. Lucia, the fashion consultant and writer, who turns one year older on Monday, cites Prada as her favorite designer, frequently donning head-to-toe looks from the fashion house and its secondary line, Miu Miu. For Shala, fashion and style are more about the confidence one exudes when wearing a look as opposed to the physical nature of the clothing itself. Perhaps that's why she can pull off some of the most intricate Rodarte looks with unmatched ease.
Enough gushing on our part. Take a look at some of her looks below and wish Miss Monroque a happy birthday in the comments. And if you, too, can't get enough, check out her blog, Shala's Rabbit Hole.
