Perhaps Jerry Meals just wanted to go home.

After 19 epic innings, MLB umpire Jerry Meals called Atlanta Braves infielder Julio Lugo safe at home, ending a 6 hour and 39 minute marathon game and infuriating the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates.

While some say the jury is still out on the call, the folks on Twitter feel that if Meals can call that slide safe, he might as well give the green light to a whole slew of inadvisable activities.
