Prince Charles Rides A Bicycle (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 07/27/2011 5:14 pm   Updated: 09/26/2011 5:12 am

Somebody call The Sartorialist!

Prince Charles put his best hipster foot forward on Wednesday at The Earth Awards Exhibition, testing out an eco-bike.

And the man was the epitome of street style perfection, cycling in a double-breasted suit complete with pocket square.

Take a look.

Charles rode a bike without training wheels?  He is smarter than I thought.

And speaking of Charles, I still can't believe he could be accepted by the Church of England as the Monarch and head of the church.  CoE wouldn't marry him, nor bless the marriage because CoE found that their adultery contributed to the failure of Camilla's marriage (Diana being dead at the time, the focus was on the surviving spouse.)  They did a Service of Prayer and Dedication, where both Charles and Camilla had to ask forgiveness for their adultery from the audience and their spouses.

The monarch is automatically the head of CoE providing he meets certain moral criteria; and marrying a woman outside the church is a no-no.  This is the other reason Edward resigned: they wouldn't accept a Morganatic marriage and still let him head CoE, as she had two surviving spouses.  Those offices can't be separated. http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/christianity/ritesrituals/divorce_1.shtml

Given his tendency to pile vehicle unceremoniously into the ground, avoiding a face-plant-a-velo was a big improvement.

On marriage, times change.
He's delivered both an heir and a spare, which is quite adequate.

Is that the wax statue of Prince Charles from Madaam Trudsseau's museum in the photo? Thought so!

It clearly takes little to amuse this man.

I remember seeing gentlemen wearing suits whilst riding on their bikes years ago. They all had bicycle clips so that the bottom of there trousers wouldn't get caught in the machinery. Good exercise. These days I'm lucky if I don't fall off the exercise bike in the gym.

He'll trade it in for a unicycle. He likes to downgrade, just look at Camilla.

No news about how the supposedly "ceremonial" prince summoned a couple of members of parliament to his house - and they all came - so much for not having any political power - and are all refusing to discuss what happened there - since the "royals" for some reason are protected from the Freedom of Information Act. Also when is he going to give back the money from his first wedding to the taxpayer - he made them pay for vows he never had any intention of honoring

I can "summon" people to my house, they don't have to come, just as they don't have to go to Prince Charles's, maybe they wanted to go?...and I expect they talked about architecture.

Prince Charles is 6 feet tall. That is an awefully "tall" bike for a girl. I wish I had it. I resorted to a boy's bike because the girl's ones are too short. I did not want to bend 90 degrees to ride the girl's one when I raised the seat, because the handle bars stayed in the same position. And I can not afford a specialized bike made to fit me.
