Beyonce Performs Live On 'The View': Singer Needs Fans' Help For New 'Best Thing I Never Had' Video

The heat wave may be over (for now), but "The View" is definitely heating up at the end of its fourteenth season. This morning (July 28), Beyonce stopped by and performed two tracks from her new album "4"--her love song ballad "1+1" and her new hit single "Best Thing I Never Had."

Beyonce also wants her fans to know that she's working on an alternative fan version of her "Best Thing I Never Had" video--you know, the one where she prances around in a wedding dress--and she's asking for her fans' contributions. The singer wants to include snapshots and footage of fans' special days. Whether it's old wedding footage, pretty wedding photos or even those prom pictures you'd rather forget, she wants it.

Fans can upload their wedding or prom footage to YouTube and their wedding or prom photos to Flickr and tag them with the following tag: #BeyonceBestThing. The deadline for submissions is August 12.

But that's not all--kicking off next week with a bang, Beyonce's "Telephone" collaborator Lady Gaga also joins "The View" for a special performance. It's Gaga's first appearance since May, when she stopped by to say hello to the ladies and promote "Born This Way," her platinum-certified hit album.

On Monday, August 1st, Lady Gaga is set to perform her latest single, "You and I," the fourth single off “Born This Way.” She also recently completed filming a music video for the Robert "Mutt" Lange-produced single--and it's sure to be every bit as epic as her previous somewhat-controversial videos.
