Water parks in Dallas provide a variety of attractions from relaxing lazy rivers and lagoons to high-flying water slides that provide a fun escape from the Texas heat. Most Dallas water parks include rides and features for all ages, including many kid-friendly activities. As part of a Huffington Post Travel series on family-fun parks, here is our guide to all the key information visitors need to know about Dallas water parks.

Hawaiian Falls North Garland

Along with a variety of rides and attractions, Hawaiian Falls North Garland is the place for unique and fun events. The park holds weekly Maui Mom's Club meetings with free admission (with coupon) for Lil' Kahunas (children under 48 inches tall), storytelling crafts and activities designed for children two to five years old. Friday is "Dive-In" movie night, featuring recent and popular family friendly films. Private cabanas are also available for rent.

A Taste of Hawaii

Waikiki Beach is Hawaiian Falls' 16,000-square-foot wave pool. Its gentle waves make the pool just right for families with young children and a great spot for body surfing, tubing and swimming.

Racing Slides

The Torpedo lives up to its name, propelling riders into the waves like human torpedoes. Ready to race? Try out the Pineapple Express, a four-lane water slide. Keiko Cove is a wet, wild obstacle course with ropes, pulleys, spouting geysers, three 40-foot water slides and a 1,000-gallon dumping water bucket.

Pineapple Pete's

Pineapple Pete's Island Café serves burgers, nachos, pizza and brisket sandwiches. Picnics are permitted with some restrictions and a $5 cooler fee.
