Solar-Powered Bikini Charges Electronics (PHOTOS)

While it may look like some kind of new cyber geek fetish wear, this panel-clad bikini is actually a way for beachgoers to charge up their electronics using the sun's rays. The brainchild of Brooklyn-based designer Andrew Schneider, the Solar Bikini can juice up iPhones and other small electronics, but remains completely safe to wear in the water. And this isn't just some pie-in-the-sky concept - Schneider is currently accepting custom orders.

This has got to be one of the MOST POORLY CONCEIVED ideas that I have seen in a long, long time . . . . .
Not because of the photovoltaic qualities of the swimsuit, but because the small size of the bikini COMPLETELY negates the effectivity which could be obtained if a LARGER SIZED ONE-PIECE bathing suit, with it's larger surface area, was used ! !

I think the purpose of the suit, is to keep the "BOB" charged. It appears that there is one in the suit.

Without a doubt this is among the top 10 most stupid things ever invented!
There are already invented solar power sources for small devices, much sexiar form-fitting bikinis that won't short out in the water, both costing a lot less. Inventer must be just another robot-sex-starved geek.
