Kevin Bacon played a mutant bad guy in this summer's "X-Men: First Class," and now, he's going to play an undead evildoer.
Variety reports that Bacon is joining the cast of "R.I.P.D.," the afterlife crime film that features Ryan Reynolds as a murdered cop who signs up for 100 years duty in Rest In Police Department in exchange for the chance to chase down his murderer. Jeff Bridges will play his old pro partner, while Bacon, it would figure, will be the man that cut down Reynolds' character.
"Red" director Robert Schwentke will helm the adaptation of the hit Dark Horse Comics series, which was written by Matt Lunsford, Lucas Marangon, and Randy Emberlin. Click here to see more about the series.
Bacon will star as a kinda-sorta bad guy in this weekend's, "Crazy, Stupid, Love.," as David Lindhagen, the man with whom Julianne Moore's character sleeps with, which leads to the breakup of her marriage with Steve Carell.
