3x1 Denim: Tailor Made

It's human nature to always seek the seemingly unattainable - the perfect job, the perfect man, the perfect apartment, the perfect pair of jeans. Though all of the former may indeed be out of reach, the latter now is not. Scott Morrison, previously of Earnest Sewn and Paper Denim & Cloth, can help you get that priceless perfect fit that every one desires in their denim.

The designer's got a brand new store in NYC's Soho neighborhood called 3x1 Made Here and for anyone who loathes the thought of having to try on ill fitting jeans while shopping (and consequently, feel awful about yourself afterward), this is as close to mecca as you'll get. Not only are there a number of hand-made, limited edition pairs you can buy right off the floor, but there's also a bespoke program where you can customize your own. The coolest part? You can see how it all comes together, as each piece is chalked, cut, sewn and steamed right there in the 3x1 space.

Whether you bring in that old denim you love as a base to work from, or just come up with your own brilliant make and model from scratch, he'll work with you to create what everyone seeks but many never seem to find - pure perfection.

I was lucky enough to create some denim at 3x1 with Scott and since then, it's been tough not to wear them every single day. Check out the video above to see the entire bespoke process.

3x1 Made Here is located at 15 Mercer Street, or you can learn more online at 3x1.us.
