Is the world going to implode soon? Spike Jonze was just thrown into the Jay-Z/Kanye mix to round off a trinity of awesomeness. Consequence of Sound reports that Jonze will be directing the video for Jay-Z and West's "Otis," their Otis Redding-sampled track that dropped late last month.

Jonze has quite the repertoire when it comes to music videos, having directed for the likes of Bjork, The Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, R.E.M., Arcade Fire and, too many to name.

The director previously collaborated with West on the video for "Flashing Lights" back in 2008, and on a short film adaptation of West's song "See You in My Nightmares" in 2009, titled "We Were Once a Fairytale."

On Monday, the New York Post reported that there was trouble Jay-Z/Kanye paradise, and that the duo may be barely on speaking terms. Jay-Z denied those reports on New York's Hot 97 FM, but conceded that they do "get on each other's nerves."

Jay-Z/Kanye West's highly anticipated album, Watch the Throne, will be released on iTunes on Aug. 8, with a wider release on Aug. 12.
