So by process of elimination, the Air Force Academy is definitely the "party school" out of the service academies.

From what I've been told by friends I believe you are right.

I fail to see why partying is such a focus for so many students or adults - but then I am a thoughtful introvert. I studied Physics in college and figured I didn't need to damage my mind playing with social drugs - and uppers / oral amphetamine were available by prescription and very heavily used by students to help study.

I worked as a technician / machinist / instrument designer in college and was heavily exposed to chlorinated and aromatic solvents. I avoided alcohol altogether because of its synergistic toxicity with the chemicals I worked with.

As the brother of a girl who is a bit challenged in the looks department, I am appalled by these universities. My sis is entitled to a date but what chance has she got if all the guys are sober? She'll defnitely be heading to another university.

I attend one of these schools and I can pretty much guarantee the students straight up lied. Most do in fear they will be punished for saying they party. I am also pretty aware of the small private school world, and there are definitely other schools who party a lot less than mine. My school actually has a reputation about the students, that when other people are around, they refuse alcohol and say it's bad and all that, but once they are in that party setting, they go all out.

I like Brigham Young University. You get a discount if your spouse is under 16. It is also the only university I have heard of where the application firn not only asks how many brothers and sisters you have, but also how many mothers and fathers.

If you're not doing some sort of drug while in college, you're not in college. Or your "college" sucks.

ON WISCONSIN! LOL

I go to a "party school" and I don't drink because alcoholism/addiction runs in both sides of my family. If I start drinking I mind as well drop out of college because that's what I'd end up doing in the long run, I already know I'm a "doomed drinker" if I start drinking. Last time I drank I realized how much I liked it and could do it all the time - not a good thing for me. I don't feel like repeating history and end up losing everything and/or killing myself. My mom lost custody of my siblings and I four years ago because of her drinking. My dad took his own life because he couldn't handle his drug and alcohol addiction anymore. I'd say my life experiences are more than enough to keep me away from the bottle. I recommend anyone else with alcoholics/addicts in their family not drink or drink very carefully. It's not worth losing yourself, your loved ones and your sanity. Believe me.

I'm not surprised that Calvin College is high on the list as not only is it not a party school but also a smoke-free campus.
Calvanism is a religion BTW as their thinking is that before you're born, you've already been fated as to where you'll go when you die. It's not really a big religious group outside of the Grand Rapids, MI area.

Calvin college does not have a smoke free campus. they are trying to slowly implement a smoke-free campus but so far nothing has really been done.

Really? The Naval Academy's programs are highly oriented toward math and science degrees. So is West Point and the Coast Guard Academy and the Air Force Academy and the Citadel. The military schools are not that easy to get into and not that easy to stay in once you get there. And, when you've graduated, you have a job and are not loaded with debt.

Yes, but the time will come when we don't need so many Academy graduates to go and kill people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I know of another college, that not only does not allow alchohol, but still have virtues they instill in their young adults. Dating is allowed, but it is double dating, and there is still a modest dress code. That college is Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. A great school stressing high academics. Go Falcons!!

How about Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC? These schools are religious and do not allow drinking on campus.

I double dated once. The sex was WILD. I like doing it with another couple. I didn't realise you promoted that type of things at Christian colleges. Way to go!

There is no reason to be rude because of a persons religion.
