Vanity Fair International Best-Dressed List 2011: Kate Middleton, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan & More (PHOTOS, POLL)

Well, almost. On Wednesday morning, Vanity Fair released a preview of its 2011 International Best-Dressed List, marking the 72nd installment of the style roll call.

So who made the cut? First-timers include the Duchess of Cambridge (she was on the list in 2008 as "Kate Middleton") who sells out nearly every item she steps out in, and a trio of sartorially-savvy actors: Justin Timberlake, Colin Firth and Armie Hammer.

HuffPost Style favorites Carla Bruni, Sheikha Mozah of Qatar and newly-crowned Princess Charlene of Monaco also earned spots, while Barack and Michelle Obama were nominated as a unit -- way to step it up, Mr. President!

Tilda Swinton and Carey Mulligan represented for all of the red carpet regulars.

Carey Mulligan and Sheikha (sp?) Mozah are always flawless--they have very different individual styles, but I esp. appreciate that they always look "adult" and that they're never pedestrian.

I don't know who half those people are, but the list does not strike me as the "best dressed people in the world" really. Some of them yes, dress well (Michelle Obama, The Duchess, etc.), but there are a ton of other people who dress as well who are not in the list. Christine Lagarde, really?

They pick Christine Lagarde, managing director of the IMF, and use a picture showing her in an ill fitting dress. I don't know who Andrea Dellal is, but they also show her in an awful outfit.

Carey Mulligan is lovely and a good actress, but she really doesn't dress well. She always looks like a kid in her mom's clothes.

That Sheika, best dressed? She looks like she's going through chemo in 1980. That suit with those wide-ish legs with high heels.. ugh! If that's what it takes, the Catherine is Catherine the Great (and I think she's on her way to being that).

I think the people who should be on this list are the personal stylist that pick the clothes and dress these people. It seems that anybody can be a style icon these days. I miss the old school days when Jackie O,Grace Kelly, and Co. were on the list!

In looking at this and have seen many pictures associated with this evening, I just realized that the Catherine looks very comfortable in her own skin and therefore doesn't need to show off her body the way some in (JLo) have to do to get attention. Even though being married to William and there are rules on how to dress, she has always looked very comforatble to me. For shame on some of the Hollywood people that are trying to outshine her, they just can't do it.
