Sofia Vergara On Teen Pregnancy: 'I Had The Energy For Everything'

Sofia Vergara Talks About Her Teen Pregnancy

They looked virtually the same age in their "Got Milk?" campaign last year, and now actress Sofia Vergara opens up about her teen pregnancy with son Manolo. The "Modern Family" star says in the new issue of Redbook magazine that she couldn't imagine having children now -- "I don't even want to think about it" -- but had a decidedly different mindset when wedded at age 18 to Joe Gonzalez.

"When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything," the Colombian-born Vergara says, who worked as a runway model and television personality in Bogota after giving birth.

Of her current relationship with Manolo, the 39-year-old says the two joke around about her skyrocketing US career since being cast on "Modern Family" in 2009.

"He humiliates me! He doesn’t understand how my accent can get worse and worse. He says, 'It’s not normal. Nobody does that.' So when I got nominated for the Emmy [in 2010] I called him and said, 'Right in your face! Even with my accent!'"
