PREVIOUSLY -- A seven year old boy on his bicycle was killed when a delivery truck struck him at an Albertson's supermarket, reports KTLA.

The collision happened in the supermarket loading dock in Redondo Beach at around 10:20 a.m. this morning, according to CBS Los Angeles. Sgt. Shawn Freeman of the Redondo Beach Police Department told CBS Los Angeles that "It appears the 7-year-old boy was riding his bicycle in the loading dock area... A delivery truck was maneuvering within the loading dock area and an accident occurred."

After the boy was found under the truck, he was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

CORRECTION: This news entry was edited to clarify that Perez was struck in the loading dock, not the parking lot, of the supermarket.
