Sunday evening Diana Nyad jumped into the water in Cuba and began her historic 103 mile swim from Cuba to Key West Florida in an attempt to break the world record in open-water swimming. I'll be watching and rooting for her all the way. When I spoke to her a few day ago I asked her what gave her the idea to attempt this -- at 61! -- she said, "I just thought, I want to feel alive, I want to feel committed. I wanted to do something that just took the most out of me." That really inspired me! I hope you'll join me in cheering her on. CNN will be providing up-to-the-minute coverage of her fearless journey.
