Kate Gosselin Talks Dating After Divorce On 'The Today Show' (VIDEO)

Kate Gosselin stopped by "The Today Show" Monday to dish on the difficulty of dating after divorce. The reality television star and mother of eight told Ann Curry that fame has come at a price.

"It's definitely time for me to start dating again, but there's a lot of obstacles for me," she said. "I hope to just bump into somebody...but I have eight kids, I have a crazy work schedule, and I'm known. I'm hoping that person is out there," she said.

Gosselin's standards for a new man are high--in April 2011 she told "The Today Show's" Matt Lauer that "If [a suitor] can pass the test, he’s got to be Superman."

But when it comes to returning to the dating game, it's her children who are pressuring her to settle down.

"The kids, on a daily basis, are just begging for me to get married again. They bring it up all the time," she said.

Though Gosselin is busy promoting the new season of her reality television show "Kate Plus 8," she has expressed an interest in producing and is looking to transition into a new role behind the camera.

Gosselin filed for divorce from ex-husband Jon in June 2009 after ten years of marriage.

She has got to be one of the most self-centered people ever put on this earth. I have my wonders about those who already have children but aren't satisfied and their need for MORE. She is now a single mother of 8 children, all of which have emotional issues, no thanks to her.

I really feel sorry for those kids.

How the hell is SHE a role model??? She had 2 children, which weren't enough for her. She need MORE attention. She got more attention. 6 more little faces to vie for her attention. And because of her selfishness she drove her husband away so now she's a single mother of 8 children, all of which have emotional issues.

She isn't a role model. She had NO business having 6 more children after her first 2. She is a self-centered egotistical look at me selfish b**ch.

I have to admit that I only saw a few of the shows, primarily around the time of her breakup with her husband, but I feel sorry for the kids. Those kids should be careful and they might get their wishes fulfilled. I don't now what kind of man would want to hook up with her, she is not a pleasant person. But then her personality might have been due to her ex. Frankly, I would run, run very far away from her.

I don't think that wet mop personality was bc of Jon. I think she's just snotty and difficult and expects the world to revolve around her. She has this "look at me, look what I can do attitude". She's done nothing more but ruin the lives of 8 innocent children, none of which asked to be brought into this world by such a selfish woman.

Based on my limited viewing of the show, really just watching in passing, I must agree with you. I think she is all that. That is why my advice to any man considering hooking up with her, is run, very fast, away. I think she is shopping for another wet mop hubby.
