Russian Dog Frisbee Championships: Pooches Perform Near-Acrobatic Tricks Of Skill (PHOTOS)

Russian pet owners and their loyal canines geared up for Moscow's "Dog Frisbee" championships Aug. 6 by performing a series of astonishing tricks that would leave a circus acrobat seething with envy.

As these astonishing Getty photos attest, the dogs soared several feet off the ground as they chased frisbees, and while most appeared to be having a great time, they seemed to tire out more than a few of their owners.

Nice to see a variety of breeds and especially mixes .

Most of the dog sports I see on TV are purebreds and a lot of sheep dogs. Makes those of us with mixed breed adoptees feel our dogs aren't welcome.
