WATCH: Man Slips, Recovers On Tightrope Between Hot Air Balloons

A Chinese tightrope walker was left hanging in mid air after slipping on his walk across a high wire
328 feet in the air and suspended between two hot air balloons, reports The Telegraph.

But stuntman Saimaiti Aishan didn't give up. Instead, he hoisted himself back on to the rope and completed the 50 feet walk on the taut cable. Luckily, he used a safety harness that tethered him to the wire.

Prior to the 328 feet attempt, Aishan successfully completed the same walk at almost 100 feet above ground.

Aishan is preparing to conquer over 600 feet tightrope walk for his fourth Guinness World Record, says the Daily Mail.

The daredevil's misstep was witnessed by hundreds on the ground in the Huanan Province and on television, which carried the failed tour de force.

'Dawazi' - or high-wire walking - is a traditional folk stunt with a long history among the ethnic Uighurs in Xinjiang, China.
