Rumor has it The Beard has a new girlfriend.
Sports gossip blog TerezOwens.com reported that our own Brian Wilson is dating Bonnie-Jill Laflin -- the cheerleader turned broadcaster turned NBA scout currently working in the Los Angeles Lakers front office.
Laflin started out as a cheerleader for the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys before transitioning into television and broadcasting, and then somehow transitioning that into scouting for the Lakers.
Laflin is also a model, number 89 on Maxim magazine's 2005 Hot 100 List and an animal rights activist with a slight weakness for self-promotion. According to the bio on her official website:
If you ask most men to describe their “dream woman,” chances are they would say someone who possesses exquisite beauty, brains……oh, and will enthusiastically look forward to watching football, baseball and basketball games with the guys — and passionately discuss the stats, outcome and scores. But do such “dream women” really exist? Well, at least one! Her name is Bonnie-Jill Laflin.
A bit much, perhaps. But she is also the only female scout in the NBA and a frequent correspondent for sports programs like ESPN's Cold Pizza. Dream girl? You be the judge.
