When Kevin Spacey and Sam Mendes teamed up to create "American Beauty", the film won five Academy Awards and three additional nominations. So that alone would warrant a visit to SHN for their second project: a stage performance of Richard III.

But throw in Gemma Jones ("Harry Potter", "Bridget Jones's Diary"), Haydn Gwynne (Billy Elliot: The Musical), and a West Coast exclusive (New York is the only other stateside venue), and this is serious news for San Francisco. The show boasts an unbelievable cast, and only 11 venues in the world will host the production. And from October 19-29, our Curran will be one of them.

"This is a really big deal for us," said SHN founder and president Carole Shorenstein Hays. "It should be an amazing experience."

Here's what we know so far: the majority of British critics have gone crazy for it; there is some sort of percussion chorus line throughout the show; and tickets go on sale August 19.

Long story short, we know what we'll be doing August 19.
