The Situation: I Want A Career Like Leonardo DiCaprio, The Rock

The Situation

First Posted: 08/09/11 02:24 PM ET Updated: 10/09/11 06:12 AM ET

A few short years ago, Michael Sorrentino was working at a gym in Staten Island. Now, a nickname and some goofy times in a house down the shore later, he's eyeing a career like some of the biggest names in modern day Hollywood history.

And also, The Rock.

The man now known as The Situation has now filmed five seasons of "The Jersey Shore," that breakout hit about a bunch of self-described guidos partying hard, un-ironically coining catch phrases, making bad life decisions and somehow being just relatable enough to be lovable. He's capitalized well on his fame, launching workout DVDs, a self-help book and promoting a brand of protein vodka, amongst many other endorsements. Still, he's hungry for more.

The Situation has made no secret of his desire to branch out his entertainment career -- remember that ill-fated run on "Dancing With The Stars"? -- and earlier in the year, said that he would be leaving the star-making MTV show in a year's time.

So what does he have planned next? Speaking to Matt Sullivan of In Touch Magazine, Sitch made no bones about his ambition.

"Obviously, I look up to [Robert] De Niro and [Al] Pacino, and for someone who's closer in age Leo [DiCaprio] — I'd eventually like to make great movies someday," he told Sullivan, on location at the Jersey Shore house. "But I'm trying to go in a trajectory similar to The Rock, who took his bold personality and phrases from the WWE into film."

He's at least on his way; he'll cameo in the upcoming "Three Stooges" film, and has a development deal for another MTV reality show.

There are probably plenty of fans that would just watch the movie regardless of whether it was terrible or not. That's the funny part.

Mr. Situation, I'm going to speak directly to you for a moment.

You're going to get nothing. Because you're a talentless hack that is only on TV because MTV sees your exhibitionist joke of a life (that they allow you to live by funding it) as "entertainment".

It's like you're from another dimension where the things we invented as comedy or an exaggeration came to life. You're like a bad impression that people keep repeating. You're a satire from a show that needs a joke about how horrible people really are. You're the filling for the background of a comic book for some stupid show that never should've existed in the first place.

All bluster and misplaced overconfidence. No talent whatsoever, except for self promotion. But hey, that specific talent made the Kardashians famous.

C'mon buddy!!!!! "The Situation" was mildly entertaining in the 1st season of Jersey Shore. Since then he's just become more and more unbearable. The few scripted things I've seen him do are even worse than his Jersey Shore performance. But can't blame a guy for dreaming big.

I hope loser reads this im laughing so hard right now the situtation is a joke. He's just lucky he was in the right place a the right time. Now he's saying he wants to be the next leonardo dicaprio or the next rock. First of all dont you need to know how to act first to be like any of these guys. Second i think leonardo dicaprio weigh more then you when he was a kid HA HA HA. Then you want to compare yourself to the rock he's 245 & what you weigh 140-150 soakin wet. I have a better chance at playing him and being a star then you. Im 6'0 275 all muscle i just got to be in the right place at the right time. But hey if they are looking for someone to play PETER PAN im sure you got that job
