Alec Baldwin Mayor Of NYC? Actor Eyes Office, But After 2013

NEW YORK — Alec Baldwin says he's thinking of running for mayor of New York, but not until he learns more about the job.

In a wide-ranging interview, the 53-year-old says he's talking with two universities about enrolling in a master's program in politics and government. He says he wants to better understand what the fiscal imperatives of the mayor's job are.

He says running in 2013 is impossible because he's obligated to complete the current season of "30 Rock."

Baldwin says he plans to establish a permanent city residence before running. His legal residence is Amagansett, Long Island. He has owned a Manhattan apartment for two decades.

Wow, all these 'baggers here trashing Baldwin..must be a frightening prospect for them..and willing to bet none of them actually live in New York..
Well, supporters should take heart - this much concentrated vitriol aimed at Baldwin counts as a plus for his possible candidacy....if the right wing fears him so much that they trash him in HP - can candidacy be far behind?

I should know better considering your post are for the sake of being annoying but here goes...You can't have it both ways. Alec was angry that his ex-wife was raising his daughter in what he considered to be a very spoiled hollywood fashion. He did not want her to become the next hollywood train wreck who was given to much and not held accountable for enough. If you trolls had any degree of integrity you would be applauding him for stepping in and trying to institute an age appropriate level of personnal responsibilty in her.
