Bruce Willis has, without a doubt, earned his stripes as an action star.
Now, however, things are about to get a bit more iconic.
Willis is in talks to join the cast of Paramount's "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation," which the "Die Hard" star is slotted to play the original General Joe Colton.
"Retaliation" comes of the heels of 2009's "The Rise of Cobra."
This time, tween-approved Jon M. Chu, whose last film was "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," will be directing the sequel and bringing a fresh supporting cast of Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson to the comic book sensation.
According to reports, Paramount has its eye on a June 29, 2012, release date.
