He's the Mr-Getting-Things-Done of the self-help world, an efficiency guru with 1.3 million Twitter followers, best known for his classic 2002 book Getting Things Done, which still remains a best-seller.

How to get things done in America ? The Plutocracy rules in America, under the sham exercise of a Democracy. People vote and bring in a President, a Congress and a Senate and pat themselves on the back, congratulating themselves on Democracy on the greatest nation on earth. However, whoever is elected from whichever party, the Plutocracy takes them over and dominates. 400 of the richest families dominate all the citizens of the USA. So, why this sham, why this waste of time, energy and emotions. Give up the false facade and forget about democracy and the internecine party warfare and go in for pure and simple, unmasked, undiluted Plutocracy - The Governance of the Rich and the Powerful. That's the way things get done in America anyway, just remove the mask and the sham and get on with it.

Before that could possibly happen in our system, we would need a constitutional amendment to create public funded campaigns and severely limit the special interests and lobbies by taxing them when they receive donations and taxing the recipients...after that, the pols would have little to sell and might actually do their job...

The Republicans are getting done exactly what they want to get done. They want to gum up the works so badly that people lose all faith in government, then they can sweep in and privatize everything. They don't have the best interests of the country at heart at all, and once people realize that then the reasons for their recalcitrance and obstructionism make perfect sense.
