Jessica Stam Tints Eyelashes Black, Wears Old Spice (PHOTO)

Jessica Stam

Jessica Stam let one of our all-time favorite beauty blogs, Into The Gloss, into her bathroom to take a look at the products she's (apparently) hoarding. The model admitted, "I'm constantly being sent things, and I'm constantly buying new ones," and detailed her skincare and hair secrets, mentioning her penchant for travel-sized items.

Two particularly interesting tidbits from Stam's post:

I like to tint my eyelashes black, that's big. I just go to a place around the block from my apartment. I don't really wear mascara unless I'm going out at night and want to put on an eye. I've learned how to do a smoky eye using just eyeliner -- just a basic black crayon from CoverGirl, that I've used so much it's only about an inch long now!

Girl, we hear you about the eyeliner. And the second:

I've been using men's deodorant for years -- original Old Spice. I just think it's the best smell.

Oh, the irony -- that the face of such scents as DKNY's Delicious Night and Nina Ricci's Ricci Ricci shops in the men's section at the drugstore.

Take a look at Jessica's shelves below and read the full feature at IntoTheGloss.com.

You do know she was discovered in a coffee shop after a long day at an amusement park. True story. She's radiant and has earned and purchased more bathroom space is all.

I think she's beautiful too. But that's called too much product. All together they have worse effect.

There is a famous YSL perfume called "Opium" and it smells virtually identical to Old Spice. I read once that some famous "noses" participated in an experiment where they were given unmarked samples of both and most of them could not tell the difference.

I threw out a bottle of Opium just the other day, got it for Xmas years ago and couldn't stand the stuff.

I tend to wear men's cologne, too. Perfumes get to powdery and cloying on my skin.

Yes a lot of men's colognes are crisp and clean. I too wear men's citrusy-scented deodorants and colognes. So many women's products smell like over-powering public-restroom deodorizer.

Going au naturel is sounding more and more efficient.

I would say the greater majority of my female friends also use Old Spice deodorant. They like the smell.

Do you know how beautiful she must be to have been discovered after a day on the rides at a Canadian amusement park?

I think it's awesome that once upon a time...I worked on a temp project for a large national company here in Canada...and my seatmate was Stam's grandmama.

Grandma looks gorgeous too, I must say! Anyhoo...I remember vividly chit-chatting about raising kids...I have a child the same age as Jessica...and it was interesting in hearing some of the "inside scoop" of the fears, joys, and pitfalls of the model life that Jessica was embarking upon.

It was cool to hear that at times...Jessica would come home and take care of cows...do the family thing...and really stay pretty grounded throughout it all.

At the time...Jessica was just starting out...moving to New York was her next big "thing". I remember thinking that if she is anything like her Grandmother...she'll be just fine. Good bones, good brains, good sense, good work ethic, good genes all round!
