Conde Nast Elevator Twitter Account Closing Down? (PHOTO)

Done For Good?

After the most recent reports that Conde Nast is entirely unbothered by the now-famous @CondeElevator Twitter feed, it looks like the anonymous account, which documents juicy snippets of conversation from the magazine publisher's elevators, may be nearing the end.

At least that's what we make of this most recent Tweet, posted today 12:16 p.m.:

"Girl or Guy #1 [in elevator alone]: This got really crazy. Love my job. Better stop. #sorry"

Does the ominous tweet spell the end of @CondeElevator? We can't be sure, but we wouldn't be surprised if the person behind the account was feeling a bit under pressure. With headlines like ABC's "Conde Nast Hunting Down @CondeElevator Tweeter" and frantic, daily speculations by sources like the Daily News, the attention drawn to the unvarnished account of Conde Nast life has been huge.

With 57,220 followers, @CondeElevator boasts more fans than some of Conde Nast's own magazines, including Details (approximately 20,000 Twitter followers) and Allure (about 55,000), reports Page Six.

With an ever-ballooning fan base and rabid curiosity about its writer, @CondeElevator may just be getting too unwieldy to handle. But does today's suspicious tweet really mean the Twitter account is over?

Stay tuned.
