Japanese news site Kodawarisan (which I can only assume translates to "Baseless Rumormonger Portal") posted a tip from "sources in the know" claiming Apple is gearing up for a big announcement on September 7, perhaps about the iPhone 5. The newest iPhone has been rumored for release in September or October for months now, but no official date has been set, either for an announcement or a roll-out.
Is the rumor true? Well, if it is, it would go straight against a different rumor for other unnamed Apple sources that said...
Copying has long been what China does with Western stuff, but the Apple Store story seems to have touched a new nerve. Now, not only is the product being copied but the retail aesthetic and subsequent hype is, too. That's being perceived as a threat.
