George And Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony's Parents, To Appear On Dr. Phil Show

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- The parents of the Florida mother who was acquitted in July of killing her 2-year-old daughter are set to appear on the "Dr. Phil" television show next month.

George and Cindy Anthony's interview with Dr. Phil McGraw is scheduled to air Sept. 12, according to a statement released Monday by the show. The episode will examine the public scrutiny they've faced during and after their daughter's murder trial.

The Anthonys' daughter, 25-year-old Casey Anthony, was found not guilty last month of the death of her daughter Caylee in 2008.

The show is not compensating the couple for the interview, according to the release, though viewers will be asked to donate to a charity group advocating for the rights of grandparents of missing children.

Dr Phil should be ashame ! This story needs to go away. Casey is more than likely guilty but since she was found not guilty if the news media would let it go maybe no one in that family will profit from the sad ending to Caylee's life.Dr Phils show shoud be boycotted.

Back in May of 2010 I had someone write to me , admonishing me, saying it wasn't like me, and asked me why I cannot show some respect for the grieving grandparents, mom and pop Anthony. Boy was I angry at the nerve.Now here we are, Casey walked fee and mom and pop are still having at it. I feel the same way about Dr. Phil's very poor understanding of what these two have done to SO many innocent people in this matter! Now that we saw on the stand how bold faced they both tell easily disprovable lies, we see indeed Children Learn What They Live, just as Dorothy Law Nolte wrote many years ago in her classic poem. Or , as is often mentioned, the apple does not fall from the tree. The Casey Anthony we have in front of us was not born this way, she was taught this at her parents' knees.

First of all why talk to Dr. Phil? It is also like her parents are looking for their fifteen minutes of fame. Next will come a book deal. Cashing in on your grandchild death should be a crime and her parents need their a$$es whip. Their is know need for this interview at all.

The only thing that gets me is how she admitted to drugging her daughter to go out and no charges followed. A mom puts hot sauce in her kids mouth and she will be hung !!! I'm shock that she even got the charge of stealing her friends check. The other is why wouldn't you just let your parents take care of the kid. They aren't elderly where they can't take care of the baby if they were my parents age which in the 80's. That would be a different story she didn't want them to care for her kid. Their are lot of piece missing from this puzzle ??

was the admission of drugging her daughter in the jail correspondence with another inmate or somewhere else?
problem is she has said lots of things and many of them turned out to be not true.
If she was regularly drugging her daughter then there should be some evidence in her hair which acts as a time line.

Susan, it appears any evidence to foul-play that would have been found in her body at the time of her death, disappeared when every trace that the drowning took place in the family pool 6-16-08, and was un-reported. But I'm sure that was purely coincidence...the kind the would have convicted someone had it been disclosed before or during trial.

I find it funny that so many people here seem to be well versed on this case...but clearly they are not because so many people are blaming and ridiculing George...did anyone at all pay attention to the statements released by Casey's defense team immediately folowing the verdict?!?! IGNORANT PEOPLE MAKING UP RAPE AND MOLESTATION THEORIES IS HOW CASEY GOT OFF. This indeed an interesting development, could u refer me to the interview in question? I have been going throw all intrviews but heard nothing even close to what u are referring to. However I can be openminded, a molestation, does not necesarily have anything to do with George being suspect however, since u have checked into things so thoroughly, I would have thought u would have already realized this, but if not, u might want to start with all the depositions in which "I" have read, or even do some backround checking. U may be surprised at what u may find. I realize from your last statement u feel George is a saint, however his previous actions before the death off Caylee would would tend to prove otherwise.

Donate to a foundation that advocates for the grandparents of MISSING CHILDREN? Are you KIDDING? Not only was their granddaughter never missing, George and Cindy KNEW it and still allowed everyone to chase their tales for six months looking for Caylee. My research tells me George took the car to a junkyard on Thursday and turned over the title. It was crushed for scrap metal. The prosecution had nothing to do with destroying the car...

I WILL NOT BE LISTENING TO ANYTHING THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. THIS FAMILY HAS LIED FROM THE BEGINNING AND I AM DONE LISTENING TO THEIR LIES. IF CINDY HAD REALLY CARED ABOUT CAYLEE, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE LIED FROM THE START AND SHE WOULD HAVE HELPED THE INVESTIGATORS GET INFORMATION INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MISLEAD THEM. what you wrote is exactly true.
however, having read george's deposition he stated that he suspected that casey wasn't working and actually went to her work and corroborated his suspicions. He told cindy and cindy's response was to yell at him for following Casey rather than casey for lying. So I think the whole family knew on some level that she was taking caylee with her and there was no nanny. I am not a grandparent but if I was in Cindy's shoes I probably would prefer my daughter to spend those first few years with the child rather than with a baby sitter, wouldn't you? It is certainly curious that they never actually had that conversation, maybe they did. Cindy said that she and casey were more like sisters.
I can't help but feel that there was a lot of truth in the accident theory. Why would cindy say that the car smelled like a dead body and then suddenly backtrack and say it smelled like pizza?

Because when reality struck and she realized she initialized an investigation that would end with her daughter possibly on death row, she started lying to protect her. I would protect my children too, but not against murder. She lied under oath and in my opinion her lying for her daughters behalf had a huge impact on the jury. The jury didn't like George and that's exactly what the defense wanted to create. They played the system and won. Shame on all of them.

I think those 911 calls from Cindy were some of the few times she displayed honesty. Her voice was panic-stricken and her words weren't carefully chosen. Her instinct was at work, and she believed she smelled human decomposition. She backtracked on this like she backtracked on much of her deposition - she believed her daughter was headed to the death chamber, so those pesky loose ends needed tied up.

Perhaps someone told her that there had been a dead body. who would that be? casey? sticking to the kidnapping nanny story. Lee, wasn't even invited to the shower. So it had to be George. And George also said he feared the trunk held the body of either his daughter or granddaughter and then drove the car home with the windows open and went to work like it was nothing. Even if he was relieved no body was in the trunk he would have to think it was a crime scene and their bodies might be somewhere. I believe that George had an affair with Holloway and that he made that statement to her. After all at that time he was supposed to be looking for a LIVE Caylee yet he found the time and inclination to go to Holloway. We know that they lie and hopefully they all have learned a lesson that it doesn't pay to lie. They are reviled not only in USA but around the world. Oh and also the blonde with the tatts in the queue to watch the trial. way to go sister!!

I think all that occurred was from hysteria. I think George may have had a little fling. People that are distressed sometimes excuse themselves from doing wrong things when they are deeply depressed. She probably started out helping George and then first thing he went by her place to get something she had such as supplies. He had to go through the gate and an attendant. Not easy to slip through i would say. Then I think somewhere he decided to commit suicide. however I think when he went over to Daytona he was reaching out for help. He was at his wits end. He felt no one cared for him. Cindy was probably screaming at him every conversation. Baby gone and maybe he actually did not know where caylee was. People under pressure will do horrible things. If he did, it was a heck of a time for Cindy to have that on her plate too. Stress causes a lot of things like this if you read about it. I am going to tell you this, Casey knew where dogs were buried and she probably thought that was as good as any place to put Caylee. The last thing she wanted is tests ran on her and discover what caused Caylee to die. She probably had that much sense, so she just got rid of her. I still say she did. I still say George or Cindy had not one thing to do with the burying.
