Kobe Bryant's Wrist Slap In A San Diego Church

Kobe Bryant allegedly injured a man's wrist at St. Therese of Carmel Church in San Diego on Sunday over possible cellphone-camera photos of the Bryant family, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Bryant saw a man who seemed to be taking photos of Bryant and his wife, Vanessa. Bryant confronted the man and grabbed his phone from his hand, but the Laker did not find any pictures, reports the LA Times. Bryant then returned the phone and left the service early.

The alleged victim was treated at a local hospital for a minor wrist sprain. The man, who is not named, "is now considering suing Bryant for hurting his wrist," reports Ball Don't Lie.

The San Diego police department is questioning witnesses.

Kobe Bryant has become an even hotter commodity with the NBA lockout in full force. Bryant was offered a deal with Turkish Besiktas (which Fox Sports reports was rejected for being too low), as well as $1.5 million per month to play in China.

Leave Kobe alone! This guy can't get a minutes peace in public! Repect his privacy. He does not have many years left and we will miss him when he retires. I met him once in Santa Barbara when the Lakers were in training. I never met a nicer man. He graciously posed for pictures with my mother in law and my wife! Very polite and nice. I am a big Kobe fan!!!

If I grabbed someone by the wrist and snatch their cell phone I'd be arrested. And I don't care how big someone is (size or celebrity) if you grab me by the wrist I'm kicking you in the jewels until you let go.

Reading. It's fundamental.

The article states that Kobe grabbed the phone and the end result was the man's wrist being "hurt". Which offers no details on the condition of his wrist.

Secondly don't believe everything you read. Whomever reported this story wanted to get Bryant's and the world's attention. So the sensationalism of him getting his wrist "hurt" is enough to create a media frenzy. It's people like you that make a mountain out of a mole hill and change the story to Kobe kicked the guy in the face and slapped his mother.

Lets see, he raped a women and got away with it after (possibly) paying her off. This guy has a sprained wrist. Why get excited about it? Nothing is going to happen to him because he's a sports celebrity and he'll get the best lawyer, beat the lawsuit, and that will be that. I'm not sure why the guy with the phone is suing Kobe Bryant. All Kobe did was swipe his phone to make sure he wasn't taking pictures of him. He gave it back, what's the big deal? I'm sure he didn't intend to hurt the guy in any way. I think a lawsuit would be a total waste of time, and if they are true worshipers, they'll forget all about it and pray for each other and that will be the end of the story. Praise the Lord!!
