Since late last year, Brian Atwood's new contemporary line B Brian Atwood has been the talk of the town and the hype's only continued to build. From the intimate preview of the collection during fashion week at NYC's The Lion to the pre-sale now on, "B" is poised to be the premier shoe collection for fall once it officially launches on August 25th.

The price point is much lower ($100-$650) than Brian's signature shoes, but he hasn't sacrificed his chic aesthetic or expert craftsmanship in the overall design. He told us that his intention was "to create statement-making footwear styles with a focus on strong, confident and aggressive silhouettes."

With the look and feel of the collection, it seems like Brian's on the fast track to turning his new customer, the "B Girl," into this season's It-girl. As he puts it, she's "girly and sexy with a touch of tomboy" and the look of "B" brings "a mix of Upper East Side poshness mixed with downtown cool. There is something for everyone and for every budget."

On the heels of his just-released, sexy video ad campaign, the designer dishes on his current commercial approach and hopes for the future, his personal style rules and his vision behind the one of the most talked about brands on the fashion industry's block.

Tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind your new video for B Brian Atwood? How did the concept come about?
The film Body Heat directed by Lawrence Kasdan provided inspiration for the campaign, which takes viewers on a voyeuristic journey of two lovers in a clandestine affair caught on film. It is impulsive, erotic and sexy.
