On Friday, jazz vocalist Christine Tavaras will sing selections from David Masumoto's account of his career as an organic peach farmer, Epitaph for a Peach. This event has big quirk potential, and it's also a great reason to duck out of work early. Kick start your heart at the beer garden, autograph tent and other interactive experiences. Tickets include access to the outdoor stages and performances inside The Roxy, The Key Club and The Whisky.When: Saturday-Monday, 1pm, $55Where: Sunset Boulevard, between San Vicente Boulevard and Doheny Drive, (ssmf.com) What: Ai Weiwei: Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads Exhibition OpeningWhy: LACMA's newest exhibition is the first major public sculpture by Chinese artist and political activist Ai Weiwei and features Weiwei's recreations of the twelve bronze animal heads that once adorned the Zodiac Fountain at Beijing's Old Summer Palace. Created in 1750, the original heads were looted by the Anglo-French troops who took part in the destruction of the palace in 1860.
