Natalia Vodianova To W: 'I Actually Love The Feeling Of A Hangover'

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 08/19/2011 4:36 pm Updated: 10/19/2011 5:12 am

We're big fans of W's back page, which depicts glamorous black and white snapshots from fashion's most fabulous party of the moment.

For the September issue, the featured fete was Natalia Vodianova's fairytale-themed ball, which we remember quite well from the fanciful outfits.

Playing hostess kept the model quite occupied, leaving her no time for even one drink. Which is shame, said Natalia to W:

"I actually love the feeling of a hangover. It's not often that I allow myself to be like that, so I don't fight it. I just take a Berocca vitamin and a walk -- and enjoy it."

We find it hard to believe someone could actually love a hangover, but then again Natalia is Russian, so she and vodka must be on good speaking terms.

Natalia did have an opportunity to let loose recently on her Ibiza escape with new boyfriend Antoine Arnault. The son of LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, Antoine was spotted with the model and her son on the beach, confirming that Natalia has indeed moved on from husband Justin Portman.

Now she has a new man to party with... and nurse hangovers with.

Read more about Natalia's party in the September issue of W.

I don't think it's the hangover, but the awe of surviving a night of risky behavior!

First I read a stop-you-in-your-tracks news flash about someone who has decided to avoid mirrors for a year (like it's possible), then I read this earth-shattering piece of 'news'. Reminds me of the Jeff Goldblum character in 'The Big Chill' replying to a question about how he found a blind baton twirler to interview. "It's just good investigative journalism." This story, and that of the mirror-avoider are an affront to anyone with a modicum of intelligence. I feel like I should sue for the minutes of my life which are lost forever to the unfulfilled promise of an interesting news item.

In Australia, we refer to cocktails as "leg spreaders".

I'm no big fan of a hangover but I find smashing my thumb with a hammer is a real treat. Slamming your toes into a heavy table leg is also a real joy. This subject has really fired me up,I think I'll intentionally trip on my deck and richochet my forehead off my concret walkway.

Obviously this dweeb thinks you have a "hangover" every morning after having a drink or two the nite b4.....or....maybe she likes sticking needles in her hands.......or attaches vise grips to her nose...or burns her fingers with a lighter.....I know there are some real strange people in this world but liking pain or discomfort is pretty strange......."stay away from me you wierd people"....!!!

Of course getting drunk and drunk driving are two entirely different things. If she would have glamourized Driving drunk, you would have a valid point. I suppose that one should not say that napping feels good, because someone napping behind the wheel is going to die.
