Rick Perry Gifts From Donors, Political Appointees: Boots, Trips, Medical Tests, And More

Cowboy boots -- 22 pairs. Stetson hats. Belt buckles. Cuff links. A TV. Medical tests for him and his wife. Nine hunting trips. Dozens of tickets to sports games and concerts.

Rick Perry earns a $150,000 annual salary and has a blind trust. But he’s also received over 90 personal gifts -- many of them from top donors and political appointees -- during his 11 years as Texas governor, according to personal financial statements he filed with the state.

After the reading the article and then clicking on ANY of the financial disclosures ALL of them are copies of just the cover pages!!! No figures, dollar amounts, etc. And, didn't know Preachin Perry's real name is James or as they say down 'der 'dem parts: Jimbo or JR. LMAO

What is not disclosed on the Texas Ethics Filing is the actual cash value of the gifts.  Tony Lama and Luccese boots are beautifully tooled.  But assuming that his boot beneficiaries did't just mosey down to the Luccese shop in El Paso and select a pair off the rack, it is entirely possible that his rich pals, had them custom tooled.  

I am reminded of the solid gold Rolls Royce that Goldfinger drove in an early 007 film.  How are we to know that the leather workers didn't work gold, which is extremely malleable into the fancy work, heels or toe caps of his Official Cowboy Boots?  It is easy to convert a $500 pair of boots or lady's bejeweled footwear into a nice present pair worth $50,000 or more.
