Shaq Proposes To Betty White, Gets Slapped In Face

May-September romances in the world of sports tend to involve beautiful young women and august veteran ballers with deep pockets and long resumes.

Of course, Shaquille O'Neal has always made a concerted effort to blaze his own trail. According to a video he posted on his Twitter account, he was hoping that his trail would lead right into 89-years-young Betty White's heart.

Alas, the behemoth once dubbed the Big Cactus found his marriage proposal met with a prickly response.

To the apparent surprise of the 39-year-old Shaq, the resurgent White believes that she can find herself a much younger suitor. It's also possible that the 5-foot-4 comedienne heard how incongruous most women seem when standing next to one of the largest players in NBA history.

Agree. I've always liked him,even when he was beating up on our Sixers. He comes across as down to earth and very likable,very unlike Kobe.
