Plumber

POLITICO:

To the bystander, the contemporary political campaign is a frightening juggernaut that careens unpredictably through randomly-chosen American towns; most bystanders manage to get out of its way, but some manage to jump aboard to be carried along for the ride -- think Joe the Plumber -- while others are crushed beneath its wheels.

Only the Republicans could hold up Jamoke the Plumber as a paragon of American virtue. He's not even a plumber. Hilarious.

Only in America are teachers bashed and people like "Joe" that barely, just barely, made it out of high school, are lionized.

What? Joe the Plumber isn't the multi-millionaire dollar, plumbing business owner he was certain he was gonna be and that was afraid of getting taxed out of business by Obama? Thats shocking. This is why we have a Republican party. A bunch of delusional working-class people are certain someday they are gonna have the "American Dream" and magically become a millionaire.

We should defend his basic principle about income re-distribution. It fails every time and only makes for a less free society dependents on hand outs!.

Yea its pretty obvious over the last 30 years where the money has been re-distributed. And it ain't 98% of the population.

Joe The Plumber, a celebrity in his own mind, is now backing Cain, a fellow celebrity in his own mind. What I see: two losers.

Save yourself the trouble of waiting for 1000 plug-ins to load.

Basically Joe got fired

He wrote a book which sold only 500 copies and has been hanging around Herman Cain, the pizzaman.

And that's basically it.

A whole 500 huh.

Guess he can't really call himself a 'jobs creator!"

ha ha...JTP is just another poor dope.
03:44 PM on 08/22/2011
And those 500 were probably bulk sales to give away copies

Joe the plumber a 2008 celeb? The media mantra: Take a national embarrassment and turn them into a celeb. Joe and Sarah Pa.lin are perfect examples.
12:43 PM on 08/22/2011
You forgot to add the biggest celebrity of all to your list of national embarrassments: Obama.
