In an unfortunate and rather odd case of domain warfare, Amy Winehouse's father has announced that he is returning checks written out to "The Amy Winehouse Foundation" to the donators. As previously reported, a squatter — called a "dick head" by Mitch Winehouse — registered for the domain name before Mr. Winehouse was able to, hence forcing the children's charity organization to seek another while also blocking it from assuming ownership of the name online.
The father of the late 27-year-old rock singer further explained the situation Saturday on his Twitter page:
"Instead of concentrating on allocating funding I am having to send cheques back cos we don't haven't got bank ac in that name. Mitch"
