Bethenny Frankel Lands Hosting Gig On New Talk Show

Bethenny Frankel has always been the girl who knows when it's time to leave a party -- and when it comes to her fame-making network, that time is now. Bravo's fast-talking sweetheart, who won audiences over on "The Real Housewives of New York" as well as her own spin-off series, has been inducted as the newest host of a forthcoming Telepictures talk show project -- in which Ellen DeGeneres is also involved.

“Telepictures couldn’t be happier with the pilot Bethenny shot. They know they have discovered the next great talk show host and it's Bethenny,” a TV insider tells me. “This is 100 percent on the fast track. Plus, with Ellen behind her this will be huge.”

But with the next step in Frankel's amazing career about to take off, she is finally getting ready to say goodbye to the network that made her a star.

“Bravo has been good to Bethenny but at the same time, Bethenny has been good to Bravo,” a friend of the reality star tells me. “This is business and making the right move for her future. She will always be grateful for everything they have done but at the same time, after the tragic news of the suicide of a cast member of the Beverly Hills 'Housewives,' she doesn’t want to be part of an organization that rewards bad behavior.”

The new season of Frankel’s solo Bravo reality show (which will run under the new title, "Bethenny Goes L.A.") will debut later this year, but if everything goes as planned, expect it to be her last.

I used to think Bethenny was funny. But she uses EVERYONE and is a HYPOCRITE. Moving to LA after NY made her famous?? Dumping her BF when she no longer needs her? Dumping Bravo when she no longer needs it?? She is disgusting and will not last. Note that Whole Foods pulled her skinny girl line for being deceptive. The ingredients are not 100% natural - this was fraud on the consumer and fraud on the purchasers. She is going to get sued for fraud.

NOT a good idea, she'll be a terrible host...no one will be able to get a word in over her endless jabbering! I guess she's gotten all she can out of Bravo, since she used them as a marketing tool for years, and has received her payout she's desperately been after. I might try watching, but don't know if I could stomach it.

I agree she'll not be a great host if you actually expect to hear her guests speak ;-) but she just might make a success of it since her fans are probably people who are charmed by her sort of stream of consciousness way of communicating. She is a certain archetype native to NYC that a lot of people respond to for some reason.

She should be sued for fraud because she misrepresented the contents of her Skinny Girl Margareta - not 100% natural ingredients - and Whole Foods just pulled her products off their shelves for fraud and misrepresentation. I sense a class action brewing...

I smell a class action against Bethenny for fraud and deception...She misrepresented the ingredients of her Skinny Girl Margareta - claiming they're 100% natural when they are not- and Whole Foods has pulled the product from its shelves...The $120 million deal should be set aside for fraudulent inducement.

I'm talking about the "Housewives" shows though I've never watched South Beach or Atlanta (was it Atlanta???). I totally agree, the Actor's Studio is fantastic. When I saw that progam for the first time on this station called Bravo - I thought it was a class station. What a wonderful find. But, sadly, it's nothing more than a rag-sheet station! They also should be held responsible for the suicide of that housewives husband. Bravo, including Andy Cohen,pushes the destruction of friendships, marriages and now a life. The entire season of the Beverly Hills show should be scrapped.

She is a very nasty person and quite the hypocrite. She was rewarded with bad behavior and is raking in big money with it. Ugh, she is so hard to look at. With so many upset about promoting Anorexia, she has this whole "Skinny Girl" concept with a super thin gal graphic. How come no one is complaining about that.

Please enough of these nobodies with no talent. they come from nowhere and make themselves famous. Why will she have a talk show. Is she a journalist, has she training??? She's a great cook; she knows nutrition backwards and forwards; the skinny girl line of drinks was 100% her idea and a very good seller; she has a quick wit and is enjoyable to watch. How is this no talent? Does Ellen DeGeneres count in your book as having no talent as well? She's just an actress with no training. What does it take in a person's list of accomplishments for you to not claim they are no talent people?

BurrRobson- I agree with you 100% Bethanny has become a great success and she has done it on her own terms. I have to commend her for what a wonderful job she has done building a career and family considering the hardships she's gone through. Congradulations Bethanny on making a success out of your lile. You are an inspiration to many.

I agree with your point about DeGeneres.

But what makes you think Bethenny "knows nutrition backwards and forwards"? She's not a nutritionist; she's someone who marketed herself to convince consumers that she knows what's she's talking about.

She also appears to believe in deceptive advertising of her products--which is the reason Whole Foods dumped her SG line of drinks.

Imagine someone who had to ask her paid assistant--whom she hasn't known for all that long--to be her daughter's godmother. That says a lot about Bethenny's character right there.
