Breaking news: Kim Kardashian is celebrating a major event in her life without a reality TV camera crew following her around -- her honeymoon.
“E! would have loved to have a crew go on her honeymoon with her," a network insider tells me. "That would have been TV gold but Kim said no way. Don’t think they didn’t ask. And to be honest they were a little surprised when she said no way.”
Newlyweds Kardashian and Kris Humphries arrived in Italy for a secret getaway following their over-the-top wedding before photographers caught the new couple boarding a plane in Naples, heading for the beautiful island of Capri.
“I’m sure Kim is relieved to get to spend some time away from the camera and her family with just her husband,” a friend of Kardashian’s tells me. “The wedding might have been made for TV but this romance is real. They deserve to have some private time together even though we are probably paying for it with all the products we buy that Kim sells.”
But don’t worry, Kim will be back to the reality grind next week, returning to New York to tape the second season of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York." Plus, we still have the extravagant two night E! special, "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" to look forward to on October 9.
