Doc Brown From 'Back To The Future' Stops By Argentina In 2011 (VIDEO)

Even in the wake of a revolution, the Libyans appear to still be angry with Doc Brown for stealing their plutonium. So of course, he fled to Argentina.

In this new clip, Emmett "Doc" Brown of "Back to the Future," once again played by Christopher Lloyd, somehow escaped Hill Valley and crashed into a Garbarino, an Argentinian electronics retailer, in 2011. The whole thing is "captured" on phone camera by a nearby couple.

While it remains unclear why this video was produced, most have speculated that it will serve as part of a larger viral campaign. As of this video, though, it's unclear what the campaign would be for -- the YouTube page, all in Spanish, only describes the video. That said, we would love to see Doc experience the 21st century as it really came to be, sans hoverboards, self-tying shoelaces or getting fired by Flea via fax.

Already, this is better than Lloyd reprising the role of Doc to shill for DirecTV, and a welcome return. The video's YouTube page also speculates that this could hint at a "Back to the Future 4." While that seems like a complete impossibility, considering Michael J. Fox's health and director Robert Zemeckis' obsession with motion capture technology, do you think there's any way the franchise could ever be brought back?

Sorry to disappoint you, Doc, but we're nowhere near inventing hoverboards.

"If you're gonna crash a store front , why not do it in style!"

People forget that the DeLorean was destroyed in the third one--run over by a diesel train, to be exact.

All know that! If you have a diesel train time machine, you can travel just a few minutes before the DeLorean accident and save the car! It's soooo easy! ;)

Unless Doc rigged his steam train time machine with some sort of grappling winch in order to airlift the DeLorean off the tracks in that small window Marty had between returning to 1985 for the last time and when that diesel train clobbered it, it ain't gonna happen.

Besides, the simple fact that the Universal Studios ride has been repurposed into a Simpsons ride, partially because Professor Frink ran over the bank loan officer that was going to recapitalize the Institute of Future Technology, kinda suggests that there ain't gonna be a fourth one.

Sorry but someone even traveling from 2001 would have their mind blown by today's technology.  Someone from half a century ago would just assume the world was taken over by wizards.

Then they would be disappointed that the only wizard was Charlie Sheen.

yeah! I saw the DeLorean parked inside Garbarino (a BestBuy like store) right on Cabildo Ave just yesterday!...quite an impressive display for an ad campaign! two thumbs up!!

Proud of this.

It's not a drugstore, it's something like RadioShack or Best Buy... I'm it's advertising for them. they're called Garbarino.

It's a tv ad for a big chain of home appliances (tv, home theaters, refrigerators, pc, coffe grinders, etc). The name of the chain is the one with red letters in the upper right corner of the picture.
