First Posted: 08/28/11 04:48 PM ET Updated: 10/28/11 06:12 AM ET

Three-year-old Teddy recently witnessed his first bug getting caught in a spider's web, and you can tell his dad is a little reluctant to tell him what probably happens next. Luckily, Teddy comes up with a plan of action of his own, and it's decidedly more optimistic.

Now all they need is the fly's mom's phone number.

When my daughter was about that age, we were walking in the woods one day and came upon a tiny stream, and my daughter examined it and decided it was lost and needed to find it's mother. There is an age when everything is understood in terms of the family structure.

I know that Origins movies is the new big trend but a 3-year-old Parker, that's just pushing it. I'm not going to see this reboot.

This child seems well adjusted. At this age, he realizes that if you are in trouble your mom comes to get you out of it.

If only all children could have that same faith in their parents. :/

Good parenting instills faith and trust. That is why as an L&D/Nursery nurse we encouraged parents to respond to their infant immediately when it cried. Early response and making sure basic needs are met in the first 3 months has proven to produce infants who cry less later on. They have learned that their needs will be met with little effort on their part and they are happier babies.

Such amazing empathy, I wish that our elected leaders and the proverbial invisible hands of the market had 1/4th of the empathy that this child has!

I think we should call their mothers. That ought to take care of them. Mom always know best.

many republicans especially the rich and robots of ultra rich do not have empathy like this boy, so I really don't think he's going to be a republican.
