Beyonce Pregnant: 'A Star Is Born' Delayed By Clint Eastwood

Beyonce's pregnancy, announced Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, may push back shooting on her next film. The irony? She's due to star in a remake of the film, "A Star Is Born."

In January, the Golden Globe-nominee was cast in Clint Eastwood's telling of the story of a young singer who falls in love with a spiraling, fading rock star. Filming on the pic according to Deadline, was due to begin in February. That won't happen, the site reports, quoting an insider's relaying that Eastwood has agreed to delay rolling until the baby is delivered and the singer is back to full strength.

The film still does not have a leading man, as Eastwood's "J. Edgar" star Leonardo DiCaprio declined to take on the role of the alcoholic musician.

This will be the fourth version of the film; previously, versions were produced starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson 1976, Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954 and Janet Gaynor and Fredric March in 1937.

First of all, I thought Clint Eastwood was definitely out of show business. And, second, Clint? You definitely need to retire, I mean, Beyonce? You call her an "actress"? She is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL, but she is a singer, and that's it!

OH thats right !! I forgot she is suppose to be the star in that movie . I have to admit though I dont enjoy watching her acting its just not the best ive seened . Sometimes people should try to stick to one thing they are good at . I REALLY want to see jay-z act in a movie because he really needs to cross that off his list .Most successful rappers have done movies and plus now that she is having a baby he needs to bring in most of the bacon. (Though they have plenty ) Still would be good to see.

I really didn't want to see "ASIB" remade by a bad actress wearing two sizes too small clothes, meat curtains hanging out and a bad weave pulling away from her forehead.

I'm so over Beyonce. Over hyped, overrated entertainer. I've never connected with her musically. She sings to hear herself sing without enough soul or conviction. She's not a true artist in my opinion. She's gorgeous and can dance and a hard worker, I'll giver her that. But ANY singer that steals other artist's music hence the copyright lawsuits, is not a real artist. As an actress, oh please. Clint, ya lost me at Beyonce. Get someone else for the love of god. A total dis to more talented people out there. If Aaliyah would not have died, she would not be this hyped.

That's cute but very naive that you're such a dedicated Beyonce fan. I'm sure she would appreciate that. It's not my opinion. It's a fact. Two of my clients wrote songs for her and she stole the songs. It benefits me none to spread rumors or gossip. When people break the law, I have no problem sharing this, as this is public record. Look it up. As for you suing me, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on, as your case would be frivolous and pointless. Go bully someone else.

Wow. You said it all, basically. Beyonce' is an overpromoted mediocre and annoying singer and a terrible actress. I thought that Clint Eastwood had gone senile when he selecter her for ASIB. She also "lies like a rug" about songwriting. She purchases the publishing rights to the songs but does NOT write them. I have also thought that if Aliyah was alive Beyonce' would not have gotten as much play. It seems to me that other female singers that were better singers have been pushed aside so that Beyonce' could get promotion. The same thing w/ Jennifer Lopez.

The bigger question is: Why make yet ANOTHER version of a classic film??? I wish Hollywood would stop trying to re-do GOOD films. There have been many good "stories" that were made into not-so-good movies...remake those!!!!!

SHE HAS BECOME THE "WHITEST" BLACK PERSON EVER! It looks like she's lightened her skin (compared to pics as a child), she's somehow BLOND. It's got to be a slap in the face to black people. When she has her baby and it's black; she might have to finally admit to herself that she's NOT WHITE.

Clint Eastwood should know better than to make another movie out of a classic. Leave it be the last one with Babs and Chris was the best. I hope they do make it. She will need rest after the baby is born. Give me a break.
