When it comes to all-time humiliating soccer fails, this one might take the cake. In the middle of Alianza Atletico's match against Cienciano on Saturday, Israek Kahn received a beautiful pass downfield that put him one on one with the opposing goalkeeper. The keeper charged off his line to challenge Kahn, but he failed miserably to give Kahn a wide open net to shoot on.
Instead of taking his time and easily slotting the ball into the net, the 22-year-old decided to take a shot from distance. However, the ball went wide of the goal and Kahn looked on in awe of what he just did.
Last week, a Japanese player made the same mistake by not taking the easier shot after beating the goalkeeper and missing on an empty net.
