2011 NAACP Theatre Awards Presenters And Honorees (PHOTOS)

The 2011 NAACP Theatre Awards took place last night at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, and stars from the big screen, small screen and stage gathered to present and honor those making a difference in the local and national theatre scene.

Raven Symone the star of ABC Family's new show "The Great State of Georgia," accepted the Spirit Award, which given to an individual who brings energy, tenacity, innovation, commitment, talent, and of course, spirit, to the theater scene. The 25-year-old actress starred in the play "Father's Day" this year with Rosie Perez and Andre Royo. But, the biggest honor of the night went to Diahann Carroll, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gowns in shades of ivory dominated the evening, but Jill Marie Jones and Jurnee Smollett stood out in vibrant colored frocks.
