About time that those who are upset with the Republican't Party changed their voter registration. Show them that you can't walk all over the voters. I changed when I could no longer support their ideals. After the debt ceiling, FAA, FEMA, jobs debacles and their refusal to do anything for the middle class, anyone who supports them, is not informed. Use their favorite word when stepping into the voting booth, "NO"

Well said Senator Gillibrand. We need more like you.

The term "The Ugly American" is typically used to describe Americans abroad, this time it describes elected GOP and Tea Party psychopaths.

Time now to rid ourselves of the billionaire's lackeys, the GOP and Tea Party, they took a workable system and broke it with their inflexible demands and their signed vouchers to Grover Norquist pledging not to raise taxes.

By so doing, the GOP and Tea Party no longer represent the average American, just the millionaires, billionaires and the corporate "personages."

Time for another American Revolution to rid ourselves of bought and paid for elected officials who have sold their souls and patriotism to the highest bidder.

Almost 3 trillion for banks and wall street, no prosecution but offsets for disaster victims? How unAmerican is that? It is a misnomer to call these constant hostage takers American. I have two words for Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, the GOP and the Tea Party and they are not "thank you."

Same salutation for the Kochs who foisted the Tea Party and their incompetent elected officials on America at one of the most dire times in American history.

Gillibrand is right: Cantor is irresponsible, and he is out of touch . . . like most republicans.

The Rebubas. are afraid of the D-Baggers so much, that they are trading their souls so the D-baggers don't run a primary race against them. These type of antics will not go over with independent or moderate rebubas.

"Gillibrand says it's time for Cantor and other critics to board a plane and travel to the Northeast to view firsthand the devastation. She says the trip might change their minds"

Ideologues like Cantor don't change their minds, they can never admit they are wrong because it just doesn't fit in their perverted world view. The only way to make change is at the voting booth. Send these hypoctites to their conservative "think" tanks where they belong.

When Russia and China have a disaster they respond immeadately with all of the aid available. Cantor now wants to lower our countries standards and integrity to its people below theirs. I never thought I would see my country act so cold and heartless. Where are we going?

Canton is not human. It is time for people of Virginia to vote him out. This an America thing. we need to come togther. People needs help. canton needs to go and hide in a closet. Since he is from Virginia, some of his relative might have gotten caught in Irene storm. Is he going to tell them lk he told the people of Joeplin. Go dig in your savings because the government do not have the money

I taught my children that people are people, that they were no better than anyone else. They may have been luckier, but that did not make them better. I taught them there but for the grace of God goes any one of us, and to be the best they could be by working hard and being kind.
Today, I think we see the culmination of a parenting model that one's children were perfect, they were smarter, they were richer; it's all about the competition to be the best, to have the most, no matter what the cost. We are now seeing the fruits of a shallow, self centered, competitive society that has no compassion for anyone else.
God Bless America, I hope it survives.
